Massage Services
Each therapist is skilled in a variety of massage and
energy techniques. We invite you to ask your therapist
about the services that interest you. All massage services
are provided with professional draping for your comfort
and privacy. If you are more comfortable with clothes on,
please let your therapist know.
Swedish Massage
This is a full body massage used to induce general
relaxation and improve circulation and range of motion. It
is a set of movements designed to flush wastes from tired
muscles and relieve aches and pains. Deep Tissue
Massage may be added to focus on specific muscle
groups or problem areas, or to enhance sports
performance.
Myofascial Release (MFR) Fascia is a sheet of fibrous
tissue beneath the skin, separating and enclosing organs,
muscles, muscle groups and connective tissue. It can get
drawn too tight or develop wrinkles, causing muscle pain
and trigger points. MFR is commonly used during
massage services to smooth out the fascia and involves
very light to deep tissue pressure.
Chinese Meridian Therapy This therapy focuses on
twelve meridians in the body through which energy (chi)
flows. Pressure is applied to points along these
meridians, energizing and balancing the body. Chinese
Meridian may be done alone or in conjunction with other
massage techniques.
Reflexology Pressure is applied to points on the feet to
provide proprioceptive messages to the body. The
sensory system allows the body to adjust and balance
itself, using the reflex between the feet and the internal
organs, muscles and nerves.
